A member would live in their own home/apartment, they may or may not have a roommate(s), and they would be responsible to pay all of their own expenses, such as rent, utilities, and groceries. These are not licensed residences. An Adult Developmental Home is a residential setting in a family home in which a licensed caregiver provides 24-hour care and supervision for up to three individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18 and over. An Adult Developmental Home is a safe and comfortable haven for individuals with a wide range of disabilities, medical conditions, and/or behavioral issues, and who cannot live with their own family. We at DEC can assist in connecting adult individuals with developmental disabilities to home care providers.
